How far in advance should I book?

For an early morning flight, book the day before so the driver is locked in. For a maxi or a group of eight or more, give us as much notice as you can. Otherwise a few hours is usually enough, and we run 24 hours if you need a taxi now. Call 0461 275 333 to book by phone.

Can I book a return trip?

Yes. Choose the return option when you book and add your return date and time. Both legs are quoted together as one fare.

How do I change or cancel a booking?

Call us and quote the booking reference from your confirmation email. Cancelling is free up to two hours before your pickup time. Inside two hours a fee may apply, because the car and driver are already committed to you.

Can I book on behalf of someone else?

Yes, and it is common for a family member, an assistant or a hotel concierge to book. Put the passenger name and mobile in the booking so the driver contacts the right person, and put your own email in for the confirmation.

Do I get a confirmation?

Yes, by email as soon as the booking is accepted, with the pickup time, the address, the vehicle and the agreed fare on it. If you have not received it within a few minutes, call us rather than booking a second time.

Do you track my flight?

Yes, on every airport pickup, at no extra cost. Add your flight number when you book and we monitor the arrival time. If you land early or your flight is delayed, your driver adjusts.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Your booking moves with the flight. Because we track it, your driver works to the actual landing time rather than the original one, and you are not charged waiting time for a delay outside your control.

What is meet and greet?

Your driver waits inside the terminal with a name sign and helps with your bags, rather than meeting you at the kerb. It costs $35 and covers up to one hour of waiting. We confirm it when you book.

Is there an extra fee for airport pickups?

A $5.26 airport pickup fee applies, set by the airport and charged by every operator, not by us. It applies only when your trip starts at the airport, not when you are being dropped off, and it is already inside the figure we quote you.

Where does the driver meet me at Melbourne Airport?

For a standard pickup, at the taxi rank outside your terminal, and your driver texts you the bay before you land. Tullamarine runs four terminals, so we use the terminal on your flight number rather than asking you to find a single meeting point.

Do you pick up from hotels?

Yes, from any hotel, serviced apartment or short stay address in Melbourne. Give us the property name and we will meet you at the lobby or the pickup point the hotel uses for taxis.

Can you collect from a conference, wedding or event venue?

Yes. For a scheduled group departure from a venue, call ahead and we will arrange several vehicles to arrive together rather than booking each one separately.

Do you know the MCG, Marvel Stadium and Crown pickup points?

Yes, our drivers work these venues regularly and know where rideshare and taxi pickup is actually permitted, which is not always the nearest entrance.

Do you do early morning hotel pickups?

Yes, and they are a large part of what we do. A pickup at 3am or 4am is booked the same way as any other and the driver arrives at the hotel entrance, not the car park, so you are not walking bags across a property in the dark.

Can you transfer me between two hotels or into the city?

Yes. The airport is most of our work but the same fixed price applies to any point to point trip in Melbourne, including hotel to hotel, a hotel to a meeting, or the city out to a suburb.

Are your drivers accredited?

What if I need to reach you during the trip?

How do I raise a problem with a trip?

Call 0461 275 333 or reply to your confirmation email and tell us the booking reference. A person reads it and comes back to you. We would rather hear it from you than read it in a review.

How many passengers fit?

A standard taxi and an SUV both take up to four passengers, and a maxi takes up to eleven. The SUV is the same four seats with a much bigger boot, and it carries a surcharge for that, shown on the fleet page and confirmed before you book.

Do you have baby seats?

Yes, for $40. It has to be requested when you book so the correct restraint is fitted beforehand. Tell us the age and approximate weight of the child and we will fit the right one.

How much luggage fits?

A sedan takes four passengers with a case each at a squeeze, and comfortably three with luggage. An SUV takes the same four passengers with far more boot space, and a maxi takes eleven passengers or fewer passengers with a lot of bags. If you are unsure, tell us the bag count when you book.

What is Silver Service?

A newer, larger and better presented vehicle with a senior driver, for when the trip matters more than the fare. It is the same fixed price model with a small surcharge on top, and it is what most corporate accounts book.

Do you have chauffeur cars as well as taxis?

Yes. Alongside the taxi fleet we run a chauffeur fleet of luxury sedans, SUVs and people movers with a suited driver, for corporate travel, roadshows and airport arrivals where a taxi is not the right look.

You pay the driver at the end of the trip by cash or card. Nothing is charged when you book.

Can I get an invoice instead of paying per trip?

Yes. If you book regularly, call 0461 275 333 and we will set up an account with monthly invoicing.

Do you accept Cabcharge?

Yes, Cabcharge cards and eTickets are accepted on every trip. Tell us when you book so the driver has the terminal ready, and keep the docket for your expense claim.

Which cards can I use?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay, as well as cash and Cabcharge. Payment is taken in the car at the end of the trip.

Do I need to pay a deposit to book?

No. Nothing is taken when you book and there is no card held on file. You pay the agreed fare at the end of the trip and nothing before it.

Does the price change once I have booked?

No. Once you lock in a price through the fare estimator or booking form, heavy traffic, roadworks or a longer route do not change what you pay. There is no meter running, and no surge pricing at peak times, on weekends or on public holidays.

Are tolls included?

Yes, the toll is already in your quoted fare. This is where a lot of airport fares quietly grow, so we build it in rather than adding it at the end.

Is there a surcharge for a larger vehicle?

The SUV and the maxi carry a high occupancy surcharge of $17.80, a flat rate regardless of distance, and Silver Service carries a smaller one at $11. Both are shown on the fleet page and confirmed before you book.

How is the fare worked out for a long distance or regional trip?

The same way as a suburban run, on the real driving distance to the terminal, so a trip from Geelong, Ballarat or the Mornington Peninsula is quoted as one fixed figure before you travel. There is no return leg charge for the empty run back.
